♻️ Tyre Stewardship Australia Market Development Fund

Looking to commercialise a product using tyre-derived material (TDM), trial a new application, or scale an existing solution?

Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) is offering grants of up to $300,000 through its Market Development Fund to support projects that create new end-markets for recycled tyres. 

🛞 Two funding streams are available:

  1. Demonstration & Infrastructure
  • Pilot or scale the use of TDM in roads, civil works, construction, manufacturing and community infrastructure.
  • Suitable for projects looking to demonstrate performance and commercial readiness.
  1. Research & Development
  • Applied research and product development projects testing new uses, specifications or blends of TDM.
  • Suitable for organisations looking to overcome market barriers, improve standards or strengthen supply chains. 

💰 Available Funding

  • Up to $300,000 per project.

👥 Who Should Apply?

  • Local governments, manufacturers, researchers, universities, infrastructure providers, industry organisations and other organisations looking to increase the use of tyre-derived materials.

📅 Next Funding Round

  • Opens: 1 September 2026
  • Closes: 6 October 2026

TSA is also encouraging Expressions of Interest year-round for projects that are still being developed.
