NSW WLRM Council Litter Prevention Grants

The NSW EPA has released its fourth round of Council Litter Prevention grants under the $337 million NSW Government Waste Less Recycle More initiative (WLRM). The new grants are open to councils and offer funding to deliver local litter prevention projects, to help meet NSW’s litter reduction goal.
The new grant funding is summarised below:
Eligible applicants | Project requirements | Funding per applicant | Closing date |
All NSW Councils | Projects must: be site-specific (and located on council-owned/managed public space), use local litter checks, apply an integrated approach, reflect NSW priority sites and materials.* What will be funded? What will not be funded? |
$30,000 to $100,000, 100% of project costs, but a maximum of 50% of salary costs.
Additional $10,000 funding available for Industrial Site clean-ups. |
