MRA helps secure $3.5m under the NSW Major Resource Recovery Infrastructure Program

MRA has been successful in securing $3.5m for two projects under the Waste Less Recycle More Major Resource Recovery Infrastructure Program, securing funding for:
Albury City Council
A total of $2,021,947 for the establishment of a MRF at the Albury Waste Management Centre to recover materials from C&I and C&D waste in the region, and further driving the success of the Halve Waste program.
Tyrecycle
$1.5m for Tyrecycle to establish a tyre crumb and granulation facility in St Mary’s that will process a total of 12,000 tonnes of tyres per year.
NSW EPA is to be congratulated for its continued focus on waste processing infrastructure, investing landfill levy funds into local jobs. These grants will make a large difference to diversion in NSW, and deserve to be emulated across Australia.
