NSW WLRM Major Resource Recovery Infrastructure (MRRI) grants

The NSW EPA has released its third round of Major Resource Recovery Infrastructure (MRRI) grants under the $337 million NSW Government Waste Less Recycle More initiative (WLRM).
The new grants, open to councils, not-for-profits, NGOs, groups of councils and the private sector, offer funding to deliver new infrastructure projects in levy-paying areas of NSW, with the aim of increasing diversion from landfill. The new grant funding is summarised below:

$1,000,000 to $5,000,000, 50% of capital costs for private industry and NFPs/NGOs.
$1,000,000 to $10,000,000, 50% of capital costs for NSW councils, groups of councils. Special consideration: certain councils in regional/rural areas of NSW may be eligible for special consideration, qualifying them for funding of up to 75% of capital costs. |
